Haas is short for haas-MEEN, the way my actual name (Jazmín) is pronounced.
I grew up in Houston, Texas, then moved to Austin to attend college at the University of Texas. It was a great place to become an adult: a small, safe pond inhabited by quirky characters that shared a common love of tasty food and good music played live.
Through a twist of fate I hope to share with you one day, the pandemic saw me move from an island in the Caribbean to Tulsa, Oklahoma. A few more years and a couple left-hand turns later, I find myself living in a small town in Southern Argentina named San Carlos de Bariloche, newly married to my wonderful partner, and custodian of a handsome fluffball named Juan Luis.
